Le Nez Français
Le Nez Français is a premium, 100% organic and barrel-aged wine range. Two eclectic blends, one white and one red blend, and one single red varietal wine that have been shaped by the winemaking duo Argentine winemaker José Galante and French winemaker Vincent Chansault. The Le Nez Français wines deliver an enchanting combination that embodies the expertise of the new world and the soul of the old world: an aromatic and rich Classique Blanc, a vibrant and expressive Classique Rouge and an elegant Cabernet Franc with affluent ripe fruit, a real knockout. Well-balanced and captivating wines that are an enrichment for finer food and friend moments.
Le Nez Français Classique Blanc
Created by using the best grapes the region has to offer and by carefully blending selected varieties to reflect the nature of the Languedoc region. This wine is a contemporary “classic” blend of: Grenache Blanc/Gris, Maccabeu, Marsanne, Roussanne and Chenin Blanc. “Grenache Blanc/Gris”? Well these two varieties are planted together in one odd vineyard and we love them for it. They are harvested and fermented all in one go. The grapes come from a large diversity of terroirs in Roussillon and Malepère. The wine matured in concrete eggs and a variety of 228l and 500l barrels on the lees with the use of frequent pump-overs to extract the beautiful colour and aromas. Before blending, only the best barrels are selected and then aged for 1 month on a big vat before bottling this stunner.

Le Nez Français Classique Rouge
Created by carefully selected grape varieties from different terroirs and creating the perfect blend bringing out the best of the Languedoc. This wine is a contemporary blend of: Syrah, Grenache Noir, Carignan and Mourvèdre. An untraditional blend. Try it and you’ll thank the winemaking duo El Señor Galante & Le Garçon Vincent for this beautiful red blend.
The grapes come from one of our favorite sites in La Livinière combined with grapes from beautiful organic vineyards in Corbière and Roussillon. Grown at an altitude of approximately 200 meters above sea level, with sandy and limestone soils. The wine is aged sur lie for 9 months in used oak barrels with regular pump-overs. Before blending the Classique Rouge, only the best barrels are selected and then age for another 2 months on a big vat. The wine is bottled with light filtration to keep colour and texture at a maximum.

Le Nez Français Cabernet Franc
The moment José Galante set foot in the Languedoc region he sensed the potential of the Cabernet Franc as an extraordinary varietal wine. The Cabernet Franc is an ancestor of the Cabernet Sauvignon and originates from the Loire region. In the past this ancient variety was used as a safety crop in the Bordeaux region in case the Cabernet Sauvignon would not reach its ideal ripeness. At Le Nez we have far greater purpose of using this grape, namely an astonishing 100% organic Cabernet Franc showing its fullest potential. We harvest this variety in our homestead Brugairolles sandstone terroir. Although rarely grown in this region, it flourishes and gives us the perfect juice for creating a distinct Cabernet Franc. 20% of this wine is aged in new French oak barrels, 20% in vat and 60% in 1 and 2 year old barrels. The wines are racked and bottled according to the biodynamic calendar.
